The best test is to read why people like Romney said they refused to support Trump. He made dozens of specific points here. Romney’s own case was that Trump was a lying bully who demonized minorities and attacked women, cheated in business and refused to release tax returns to prove otherwise, was too close to Putin, would impose tariffs, wouldn’t addess the debt, etc. How many of those went away?
On the other hand, as Romney points out, Trump did things like pass a business-friendly tax cut and install conservative judges that he supports. But he was promising to do both during the campaign too. That wasn’t why he was called out.

Date: 2018-10-14 08:20 am (UTC)Ну вот я, например. Думал, что Трамп -- это буквально Гитлер, а он оказался довольно успешным президентом. Выполняет предвыборные обещания, проводит вменяемую политику. Ну, подумаешь, бахвалится, некультурно себя ведёт, неэстетично выглядит и говорит -- это всё внешнее. Даже в некоторых случаях это плюс, особенно когда это касается политкорректности. А феминзм вообще одним махом победил. Вы забываете, что его выбрали с некой целью -- делать некую работу. И вот именно эту цель он достиг лучше чем кто-либо другой из политиков. И не просто другой, а Хиллари. Его ведь с ней сравнивают. И вот он оказался безусловно, по всем параметрам лучше. Чем Хиллари. И поэтому избиратели им довольны. Вас это всё ещё удивляет? Если да, то вы будете следущие шесть лет пребывать в состоянии постоянного изумления.
